Blue Hearts Bookmark

This is the item I am sending to Emma at Misi.me.uk the wonderful handmade craft site. She will be using some of our items to promote the site and hopefully get more traffic to all the shops on there.
As several jewellery makers are involved, I decided to send one of my popular bookmarks to help with the variety of items.
Fingers crossed for everyone that it works!
If you like this item and would like to see some more, take a look at my shop FairlyGirly.Misi.me.uk or my own website http://www.fairlygirly.com/.

This weekend is RSPB Birdwatch

The Big Garden Birdwatch is the world's biggest bird survey, done by the RSPB annually, it provides them with a vital snapshot of the UK's birds each winter.

To take part, you just watch the birds that come into your garden over an hour and record them. They have provided a form for this which can be printed off from http://www.rspb.org.uk/images/bgbw_sheet_2009_tcm9-201495.pdf
Then input your records on their website http://www.rspb.org.uk/ and you have taken part.

So, if you need an excuse to sit down for an hour and gaze out the window, here you have it! The kids will love doing it as well.

Just a few photos we have taken in the garden.......we are lucky enough to have a wood immediately behind our garden and so have a good variety of birds throughout the year including......woodpecker, gold finches, nuthatch, longtail tits, blue tits, coal tits, green finches etc. The bullfinch has been coming and going for a few weeks and the pheasant was a permanent resident last year!

First Ever Blog!!

This is my first ever attempt at a Blog.......hopefully as the weeks pass I will learn how to add all the bits that I would like to have. When I started with my handmade jewellery little did I realise I would need to become both a photographer and computer expert. I only wish I was, more like stumbling around in the dark!

I have been making some items for Valentines Day and have added some to my own online shop found at http://www.fairlygirly.com/. My work can also be seen on the two wonderful handmade craft sites.....Folksy.com and Misi.me.uk.
