their Company which they set up in 2007.

Why not treat yourself to a candle whilst you are there.

I can certainly recommend them!

yummy cake!

With friends coming for a coffee this afternoon,
I decided to make something from this new book.

It really is a gorgeous book, with easy to follow recipes,
and the all important photo of how it should turn out!
This is the yummy cake I decided to make,
upside-down toffee apple brownies.
~~~~~
The aroma in the kitchen is lovely,
can't wait for 2pm for the coffee and cake!
~~~~~
EDIT :- Having now tried the cake, I can confirm it is as yummy as it looks!
~~~~~
If you would like a go yourself,
here is the recipe.
How to make:-
Ingredients
115 g butter, please extra for greasing
175g light muscovado sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
200g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarb of soda
1 1/2 tsp mixed spice
2 eating apples, peeled and coarsely grated
85g hazelnuts, chopped
Toffee apple topping
85g light muscovado sugar
55g butter
1 desert apple cored and thinly sliced
Method
Preheat oven to 180 C/350 F/ gas mark 4.
Grease a shallow 23cm/9 inch square tin.
To make the topping, place the sugar and butter in a small saucepan and heat gently, stirring, until melted. Pour into the tin and arrange the apple slices over the mixture.
To make the brownies, place the butter and sugar in a large bowl and beat together until light and fluffy, then gradually beat in the eggs. Sift together the flour, baking powder, bicarb of soda and mixed spice, and fold into the mixture. Stir in the apples and nuts, then pour into the tin.
Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 mins, or until firm and golden. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 mins, then cut into squares.
The apple could be replaced with pineapple or pear if you prefer!
One World One Heart
THE FIFTH AND FINAL ONE WORLD ONE HEART
One World One Heart is a worldwide event for bloggers only. It gives all those who blog a chance to meet and mingle and form connections with those they may not have otherwise met from all over the world. In the past 4 years this event has grown to over 1,000 participants!
Think of it as a GIGANTIC open house allowing you to travel without ever leaving your home........going from blog to blog(in various countries) seeing the wonder each one has created and meeting all the fabulous people behind those blogs. As a bonus each blogger participant will offer up a "door prize or prizes"....just for dropping by, saying hello and seeing their world. It's really that easy.
If you would like to find out more and take part, pop over to the Whimsical Bohemian blog for the full details.
~~~~~~~

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by on your One World One Heart tour.

My name is Lorraine and I am a part-time working mum.

I enjoy making jewellery in my free time.

Here is one of the necklaces I have made for Valentines Day.

I was lucky to receive a sewing machine for Christmas,

so would now like to experiment and make some other

craft items.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my One World One Heart Giveaway
I am offering this wonderful star crystal bookmark,
perfect for marking the place in your latest read.
Please leave a comment with a way I can contact you
on the closing date of 17 Feb 11.
