Folksy 2010 Valentine Heart Swap

Back in Dec, Lisa from noodleBubble suggested a Valentine Heart Swap on Folksy. The only stipulation was that it had to be HANDMADE and a HEART. Then in Jan she told us who we were making for, with the aim to post by the 5 Feb so it would arrive in time for Valentines Day.

The person I was making for was Claire of LittlePudding, so to get some inspiration I had a look at her shop and profile and came up with the following gifts for her.

Some heart stitch markers, as a knitter I thought these would be useful.

Most people like to read, so a red heart bookmark.

and it wouldn't be Valentines Day with out some chocs!

I have heard that the parcel has arrived safely, so I can now post these picks. She was delighted with the gifts and I've been told the chocs didn't last long with a glass of wine ;-0).

I am so glad you loved your gifts LittlePudding.

My Heart swap was waiting for me when I came home from work today. Suzanne from Handmade - fromtheheart was given the task to make for me.

I received these lovely wooden hanging hearts

and some chocs also!

Thank you Suzanne, they are lovely gifts.

Thanks also to Lisa for arranging the swap, I know alot of time goes into organising these events.

Happy Valentines everyone!

Misi Monday

My theme for todays Misi Monday is going to be fish.

We have had a stressful weekend with our fish tank. We bought a new Angel Fish on Friday and put him into our tank. Unknown to us he must have been carrying a disease as by the following morning he was dead, along with 8 other fish. Yesterday was equally stressful as another 7 died. This included a keyhole cichlid which we have had from the beginning. Our son has insisted on burying this one in the garden. Several of the ones that we have lost were favourites which makes it even worst.

We have been back to the fish shop twice and hope to sort something out with them. We have always bought our fish there without any problem but this must have been a bad batch, which turned out very costly for us.
So, with fish definately on my mind, here is my picks........

I love the colours in this pink fish vase by Salt of the Earth.

A great Sea Things Tee, by BonbiForest.

This is a lovely childrens bag by Nicsknots, they will love the pattern of bright fishies.

When you go fishing here is a couple of signs you can put up, the first Gone Fishing Plaque is from Kelso ...........

and the second Gone Fishing sign, from Baggy T's.
